The Large Munsterlander is a dog built for long fields, bad weather, and people who don’t mind a little mud in the house. Black and white, sharp-nosed and stubbornly alive, it was bred to hunt, retrieve, and keep going long after sensible creatures have called it a day. There’s elegance in the breed, certainly, but it’s the working kind—the sort that looks better with burrs in its coat and dirt on its feet.
The round design puts that character front and center, framed like an old sporting emblem from a time when dogs had jobs and nobody thought much about keeping their boots clean. Simple, rugged, and without unnecessary decoration. A shirt for those who know the Large Munsterlander is a fine-looking dog; but looks were never the most interesting thing about it.
